
If you like italian desserts you must try this easy ricotta & jam tart recipe. You’ll have a delicious authentic dessert in no time 🙂
Ingredients for a tart baked in a 7 cm cooking tray
For the dough:
- 2 eggs
- 150 g sugar
- 80 g sunflower oil
- 350 g flour
- 8 g baking powder
For the tart composition:
- 400 g ricotta
- 70 g sugar
- 400 g jam
Steps to follow:
- Mix all the dough ingredients together, except for the flour which will be incorporated gradually
- Work well the dough using your hands, until smooth enough and doesn’t stick to your fingers anymore
- Let the dough aside and start working on the tart composition
- Add the ricotta in a bowl, together with the sugar, and mix them well together
- Take a third of the dough and put it apart
- Take a layer of baking paper and spread the big part of the dough on it, using a rolling pin. The resulted layer should be around 1 cm thick.
- Take a round cooking tray, grease it with oil and add the baking paper with the dough, inside out
- Cut the edges with a knife
- Add the ricotta
- Add the jam (better if not very solid)
- With the dough we put apart, make strips to be added on top of the tart
- Add the resulted tart in the pre heated oven, at 180 degrees, for approx. 40 minutes
- After fully baked, let it cool well before served
