Chocolate recipe from scratch

Are you a chocolate lover? Then you must definitely check this chocolate recipe from scratch. 

A true chocolate passionate makes his own chocolate, it’s so delicious and easy, just follow these simple steps.

Ingredients for 1 kg of chocolate:

  • 500 g desserts milk powder
  • 70 g dark cocoa powder
  • 250 g fat butter (at least 80% fats)
  • 330 g sugar
  • 200 ml water
  • a bit of salt
  • vanilla or rhum flavour

Steps to follow:

  1. Put in a cooking pot the water, sugar and salt and mix them slowly on medium heat, until the sugar is completely melted 
  2. When bubbles start to arrive set the counter to 5 minutes and when the minutes have passed, turn off the heat (be very strict with the 5 minutes time, not more nor less, the chocolate consistency is depending on this step!)
  3. Slowly mix the butter together with the syrup we just made
  4. In a bowl put the milk & cocoa powder
  5. Pour over the milk & cocoa the syrup and mix well all together
  6. Transfer the resulted melted chocolate on a cooking tray (dimensions of the cooking tray: 20 cm x 30 cm)
  7. Give it a rest of at least 5 hours before trying it (needs time to become solid)
